The problem

Signing up for loyalty programs usually requires a cashier to enter each new member’s information into the POS system and activate each loyalty card, resulting in delays in checkout. Customers are also often unwilling to provide their information, especially their email addresses, to a store employee. When an employee manually enters in customer information to register them for the store's loyalty program spelling errors and typos can also occur, resulting in invalid data captures.

Step 1
Creative attract screens
Offering an incentive to customers for joining your loyalty program will attract attention and new members. CSM’s POM kiosks display multiple “attract screens” that promote your loyalty program through a draw or coupon offer. The attract screens can also be used to announce key program features, such as a welcome bonus of 5000 points for signing up.


Step 2
Data capture screens
New program members can register quickly and easily through the touch screen POM kiosks set up in store or experiential marketing locations. All data collection fields, including the type and number of fields, is customizable and can be assigned as required or optional for the new member to provide when registering. The on-screen step progression is also customizable, as is the style of all on-screen displays. Once new participants hit “submit” their data is captured and stored in one central database that can be hosted by CSM or the brand.


Step 3
Loyalty card activation
After registering for the program new members take a blank loyalty card and swipe it through the magnetic stripe reader or scan it on the image scanner to activate it right there at the POM kiosk.


Step 4
Processing activation
Processing a new loyalty program registration takes just milliseconds. During those moments the new member’s loyalty card is registered with the store's POS system so they can use it immediately.


Step 5
Thank you screen
The thank you screen confirms that the activation has been successful and that the new member has been entered into the promotional contest or that their coupon is being printed.
